Let prayer and boundaries protect us each day
The Gift of Boundaries
Kundtz quotes author Anne Katherine this morning who said, "Healthy boundaries are flexible enough that we can choose what to let in and what to keep out." Kundtz himself adds, “An important part of being a person of clear and strong boundaries involves the quality of openness, an ability to receive the gifs the world has to offer and to learn the lessons of life. It implies boundaries that are flexible that is, boundaries that are under your control.” This is an important aspect that I have to constantly remind myself. The boundaries I create are under my control. This makes me think of the poem Invictus. As William Ernest Henley’s poem conveys, we have the ability to control our responses to life’s challenges. Let us keep that in mind as we navigate interactions, working to respond and not react, or reply at all. If a question is not asked, there may be no need for a response. Control what you can for your peace.
Matthew 6:27 speaks to control saying, “And can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your span of life?”
Let us not worry, but trust all situations to God to help us manage our emotions and remain true to our boundaries and work that is within our control.
Small Straws Scripture: Psalm 119:143-144 Trouble and anguish have overtaken me, yet Your commandments are my delights. The righteousness of Your testimonies is everlasting; give me understanding, and I shall live.
He told us that we would have trials, so let us embrace them but know that our Savior will keep us and see us through to better days.
Youversion Verse of the Day: John 20:21
Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”
Our Father provides us with peace, therefore let us not be in pieces, but share in all He has to offer to us and others in our walk of life.
Let prayer and boundaries protect us each day, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
