Let us be what we can for ourselves and our Father will ensure everything else

Some Help in Getting Help

As Kundtz has shared with us about noticing, naming, and narrating, sometimes we need a nudge in helping us help ourselves, and that’s where seeking trained help comes in. Today he gives a few ideas to keep in mind when seeking support. “…Counseling does not have to go on for a long time…. You can get competent help at a reasonable price…. Maybe more appropriate for you would be a mentor, coach, or spiritual director…. Most therapy is not only for deeply troubled people but for you and me at moments of challenge and opportunity…. and it’s ok to shop around.” Most importantly, before all of that, and as he shared from Scott Peck, "It's time to get into therapy when you feel you can no longer keep moving ahead by yourself as you deal with your fears; when you're really stuck."

As we take time to stop, let us assess ourselves—the ones who work to do and resolve everything for everyone on their own. The ones who have had to depend on themselves more than the support of others—let us ask ourselves, is it time, or is it time again?

Today I will share to scriptures in assembly with our message. Psalm 16:7 reads, “I bless the Lord who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me.” Also, 2 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭6‬, “Not that we are competent of ourselves to claim anything as coming from us; our competence is from God, who has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not of letter but of spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.”

‭‭Our Father is all things to us, and especially our counselor. He also uses His children as vessels, skilled to do His work. Let us seek all that He provides to help us heal inside.

Small Straws Scripture: Proverbs 11:24 There is one who scatters, yet increases more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty.

Let us always work to give freely of ourselves through our time, talents, and treasures, but let us not give out, exhausting ourselves and being stingy to our own needs.

Youversion Verse of the Day 1 Samuel 2:2

“There is no Holy One like the Lord, no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.

There is no one like our Father God; never has been and never will be.

Let us be what we can for ourselves and our Father will ensure everything else, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
