It’s ok to rest; God will do the rest
Yes, But…
There comes times in all of our lives when we feel we have just so much to do and could never stop until whatever at hand is done. In my opinion from what we have heard from Kundtz, this is the ideal time to stop. As Kundtz reminds us from his earlier writings to us, “Stillpoints no longer just happen on their own as they used to, we must intentionally put them in our lives. Finding things that will serve as triggers will help. Above all, try not to give in to discouragement. It will take a while to incorporate Stopping into your life. Remember the benefits and stick with it.” Be encouraged and open to incorporating stillpoints, at minimum, into your life, and as much as possible, stop—be still—name, notice, and narrate to process to handle what internally may be preventing the best you. Stop and smell some roses today that are the fruit of your labor. Stop and be in awe of your family and your life which are blessings to behold.
Psalms 23:2 reminds us, “He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters”. This is what we pray many times, but let us not just recite but take heed. When, not if, we rest, He will still provide.
Small Straws Scripture: Psalm 103:1-5 Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.
Let us never forget in our busyness that our Father provides, in our busyness and also in our resting.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Psalms 33:5
He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord.
Our Father will always provide what we need and treats us fairly with His love with our deeds.
It’s ok to rest; God will do the rest, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
