Let us remain steady in the Savior
“I will instruct you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” Psalm 32:8
Today’s message “Ordered Steps” from “Daily Strength for Women” highlights Psalm 32:8, which says, “I will instruct you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” Like a toddler who trusts someone to hold their hand, today’s message says, “In the same way, when we commit our way to God, we are essentially placing our hand in his. He delights in the fact that we are walking with him. Even in the times when we stumble, he will steady our path and give us the confidence to keep walking.” As we walk and commit our lives to the Father, we never have to worry about where to go and how we will get there, for He is our guide and will never misdirect our allow us to fall.
Reflection from Spiritual Disciplines
Day 10 and the final message from “Spiritual Disciplines” speaks to the “Discipline of Celebration”. We read this morning, “An atmosphere of celebration should be indispensable in the life of a Christian. We have all the reasons to be joyful! All the reasons to celebrate: our lives are redeemed through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 4:4 is highlighted this morning which says, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” As Psalm 34:1 also says, we should bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in our mouths. The passage today says, “A Christian with a heavenly (vertical) perspective understands that everything that is earthly is temporary... The joy flows from the position of being a child of God.” There is not one moment in this life that He is not with us and going to bless us. Therefore, we should anticipate that and always be JOYful.
