Let us work diligently on our assignments, wait well on our heart’s desires, and live in a state of spiritual readiness each day

Witnesses

As we walk this earth and do the work our Father has placed in us to do, sometimes we can feel alone, or that others don’t necessarily stand in support of our work or even understand. However, today’s message provides us with the encouragement and reminder that we need to keep pressing on. Today’s devotional mentions the "great cloud of witnesses" a Bible writer describes in Hebrews 11 and 12. The writer says, “It's so easy for us to feel unnoticed, unappreciated, even forgotten by our friends, family, and fellow church members. We forget that we have an invisible crowd of believers who have gone on before us.” Let us remember to look to the hills from which cometh our strength, but also look to the hills where our ancestors and loved ones await, looking down upon us as we continue on our journeys, doing God’s work and making them proud.

Hebrews 12:1 reads, “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”

Let us not worry about others but focus on what God is calling us to do and see it through to completion.

Small Straws Scripture: Psalm 25:4-5 Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day.

What God has for us we have to realize the importance of truly trusting with all of our hearts and waiting well.

Youversion Verse of the Day: Matthew 24:42

Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

Let us work to live in a state of spiritual readiness for we do not know when our appointed time shall come when He shall come for me and you.

Let us work diligently on our assignments, wait well on our heart’s desires, and live in a state of spiritual readiness each day, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
