Listen and be led by the Lord in all you do

“Listen to my instruction and be wise; do not disregard it.” Proverbs‬ ‭8‬:‭33‬

Today’s message “Is Anybody Listening” speaks about a woman who stretched herself thin personally and professionally. The writer explains “They were all good things, but they weren't all God things that he had chosen for her to do.” The message goes on to say, “when God nudges our bodies to yell at us, we’d better listen. A woman who listens to God's instruction and doesn't ignore it is truly wise.” Yesterday was the sabbath a day of rest, and today begins a new work week. May we work to be led, listening to God to lead us and not the demands of others and guilt. Trust in the Lord to direct your path as you work, play, and serve.

Reflection from The Art of Overcoming

Today we learn about “How to Deal with Broken Dreams”. It is said, “Dreamers are near to God’s heart — the Bible is full of them. Just because a few of your dreams have turned out to be nightmares doesn’t mean you should stop dreaming. But remember that your dream might have to die before it lives.“ Joseph is the example provided for us to see how God works. There was a lot that Joseph went through before his dreams came through. This is the perspective given in today’s devotional. “God’s dreams are always bigger than human dreams. Sometimes our dreams have to die, at least temporarily, so that we can die to our dreams…. Our good dream must die to make room for the best dream, for a God-sized dream.” What is it you need to let go of and let God take control of this day?
