Listen to the call of Christ today
“Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders you have done. The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare.” Psalm 40:5
Psalm 40:5 says, “Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders you have done. The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare.” Today’s message “Many Wonders” reminds us, “It is good to give God the glory for all the things that we find too wonderful for words…. Thank him for the interest he has shown in you and for the constant revelation of his goodness and love.“ So remember today, in everything, especially the challenges, give thanks for all He has done and continues to do constantly outweighs those situations that come against me and you.
Reflection from Chosen: Remind Yourself of the Gospel
Today’s message from “Chosen: Remind Yourself of the Gospel” speaks about the author David Bentley Hart who says how the word blessed has lost its meaning in our culture: it is used more or less as “lucky” or “fortunate.” The text them goes on to say, “Instead, Hart argues the real meaning would be much closer to our word blissful or a state of enraptured happiness.” May we always take the time to know that in Christ we are more than lucky or fortunate, for even in our tough times, those situations are moments, not monuments as the apostle Paul speaks about in Corinthians 4:7. Again, in everything give thanks and realize the magnitude of God’s favor upon you and I—we are truly blessed.
