Daily Devotional for September 20, 2020

“Take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given you the land to possess.” ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭33:53‬ ‭

Over the past few days, the devotionals associated with Joel Osteen have focused on doors. Doors when open provide us to access to what we desire, yet when closed, and by definition, provide a barrier of protection. As Osteen continues to REmind us, closed doors are not always what they seem. Many times we interpret them as REjection, but when the Head of our household is involved it’s protection. We must REmember that nothing is too hard for God. He is able to open doors that we could not see, and pour us out a blessing. We only must have the faith the size of a mustard seed and BElieve for him to open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to REceive it. (Malachi‬ ‭3:10‬)

Deuteronomy 7

When doors close or don’t seem to open along our JOurneY, let us not worry. “For we are a people holy to the Lord our God. The Lord our God has chosen us out of all the people on the face of the earth to be His people, his treasured possession.” (Deuteronomy‬ ‭7:6‬) He will protect and keep us; He will bless us and not bring harm to us.

As with any new job opportunity, we must go through training. The same is true with our JOurneY in life as God works to anoint and appoint us. As today’s devotional from the “Harvesting The Abundant Life” series highlights, “Now all discipline seems painful at the moment, not joyful. But later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it (Hebrew 12:11). Let us stay the course for God’s plan for our lives to enter into the opportunities He has prepared for us.

Galatians 1:10

May we REmain forward, focused, and following in faith (and not fear) and favor in the One who is the only one who stands in approval of all we do in life for eternal gain and not temporary earthly approval by others. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Set your standards to seek the Savior’s strategy to serve and soar this Sunday, my friend.
