A Fragrant Offering

Yesterday was communion Sunday, and my pastor posed the question, “What do you want to be remembered by?” Well this morning’s message relates to that. The writer says this morning, “If we carry the scent of Christ in our daily walk, people will be drawn to us and want to ‘stay for a while.’” Let us be mindful of our words, deeds, actions, and expressions, ensuring they are welcoming and Christ-like. Let us leave positive impressions and not negative connotations of a Christian experience for those who don’t believe.

Ephesians 5:1-2 reads, “Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”

Let us live a life of love like Christ, making sacrifices as necessary for others in our lives.

Small Straws Scripture: Psalm 46:1-3

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah

God is our greatest source for what we need in the worst of times and the One to give all praise to in the best of times.

Youversion Verse of the Day: Proverbs 4:23

Keep thy heart with all diligence; For out of it are the issues of life.

Protecting your inner being, and specifically your heart with good thoughts—godly thoughts.

May all we like, do, say, and display exemplify our Father and His amazing ways and grace, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
