May our lives forever be intertwined with Christ to lead, guide, and protect us as we go on
Stopped: Awake and Remembering
In current society, individuals use the term “woke” to describe awareness of social and political injustices associated with racial and social inequality. Being “woke” is about being truly aware of, in tune with, heightened awareness of such matters. In the same manner, Kundtz speaks about being “awake”, “knowing who you are and paying attention to what is going on both inside and outside of you-is close to what the Eastern spiritual traditions call mindfulness.” He then goes on to quote columnist Adair Lara discussing the importance of one’s "Presence not presents." in our lives. As much as we love gifts, the actual attention of and engagement with others is most meaningful and lasting. Let is work to truly live in each moment, woke, awake, and with presence, for it’s the greatest gift to ourselves and others.
John 17:5 reads, “So now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had in your presence before the world existed.”
Like Jesus, let us be prayerful about restoration and the next season we are entering into, with God’s blessings and directions for our lives.
Small Straws Scripture: Ephesians 1:7-10
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth--in Him.
Let us always know redemption and forgiveness can be found in the farther. We only have to believe it, to seek it, and receive it.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Matthew 5:6
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”
May we work to cultivate and intimidate and lasting relationship with Christ to receive all that He has for our lives.
May our lives forever be intertwined with Christ to lead, guide, and protect us as we go on, my friend. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
