May this day and each day forward be purpose driven for our lives in Christ 🎁

A reflection from Chapter 31: The Gift of Purpose from “The Art of Stopping: How to be Still When You Have to Keep Going, by David Kundtz)

“Purpose is the wonderful gift of Stopping that encourages us to go out from ourselves, to listen to what we might hear from the universe, and to discover our unique role in life. Purpose means that someone or something outside of you is looking at you and calling your name; you are being called to accomplish an objective, to be someone that only you can be, and to realize what is most essentially you”, Kundtz shares this morning. As I meditate and reflect this morning, I’m grateful to have realized my purpose in life. As much as I am seen as a leader, I am a supporter. I assist others in achieving their goals, often providing resources, encouragement, and my expertise through service and collaboration, influencing and guiding individuals, groups, and organizations. Kundtz states, “Purpose is not always a specitic talent or service, but more commonly an underlying principle or principles which guide one's life.” I truly have a servant’s heart—it’s in my lineage, and I look forward to this year ahead as God has and continues to prepare me, through protection and progression, for greater work to come in my life.

Psalms 51:10-12 reads, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me. Do not cast me away from your presence, and do not take your holy spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and sustain in me a willing spirit.”

This is my pray, this day, on my birthday. May all of us embrace this new day with new beginnings, new opportunities, and new mercies, letting go of the past and not looking to the future. Let us be focused on this day—the present, for it is truly a gift. Seek joy on purpose as we walk in our purpose.

Small Straws Scripture: Ephesians 4:11-13 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

Christ has equipped each one of us with gifts. May we never take them for granted, but be doers for Him and servant leaders in life drawing ourselves and others closer to Christ.

Youversion Verse of the Day: Matthew 11:28

“Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.“

Today and each day that I feel it necessary to rest, I will give everything to Him, and rest in Him.

May this day and each day forward be purpose driven for our lives in Christ, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
