May we always seek His Word and wisdom, for it shall light our way and guide us to better days

A Request for Wisdom

Today we hear about God appearing to Solomon in a dream, offering to give him what he wants. Of all things, Solomon asks for wisdom. The devotional today says, “Solomon's example stands out for us today. We need wisdom in our relationships, particularly as we strive to grow in godliness and love… God is waiting for your prayer, and He desires to guide you in His unsurpassed wisdom. Like little children, we must ask God for help; He will help us find our way.” We need wisdom in every situation as we need love. God provides us with all our needs. May we always seek His guidance, His Word, and His ways as we go about life each day. Let us never hesitate from turning to Him and asking for knowledge for He knows all, controls all, and will support us all.

1 Kings 3:7 reads, “Now, O Lord my God, you have made me king instead of my father, David, but I am like a little child who doesn't know his way around."

As with Solomon, we all have uncertainty and inadequacies, thus we must rely on our Father to guide us, educate us, and direct us as we go farther along life’s journey.

Small Straws Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 4:11

“That you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you.”

May we each work to live and engage peacefully, properly, prospering personally minding ourselves and not negatively impacting the lives of others but doing for ourselves.

Youversion Verse of the Day: Psalms 119:105

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

May God’s Word light our way with hope and understanding, guiding us in a way we should go for ourselves and greater good for all.

May we always seek His Word and wisdom, for it shall light our way and guide us to better days, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
