May we be still, seeing the light and walking well in His way and with forgiving hearts

The Young, the Old, and the Angry

Kundtz speaks of the importance of groups of people—the young, the old, and the angry—whom Stopping offers special implications and challenges. But first, he reminds us, “The idea (of stopping) is simply to achieve enough quiet and enough stillness to hear the truth, both within and without.” As far as with children and adolescents, he says, “We need to take lessons from the younger members of our families… it is not a lesson we need to learn as much as it is a memory and a practice we need to recapture.” Kids space out and that’s just a form of stopping that we need to embrace again. In reference to the elderly, Kundtz advises, “By developing Stopping now, our years of old age and loss are much more likely to be sweet and calm; you won't be a dear old man or woman unless you are continually becoming a dear younger one.” Let us take time now to reflect and enjoy our latter years of reflection. Finally, with the angry, he speaks to the fact that “You can't change if you are not still enough, long enough, to see that there is a different way or a better way.” In summary, no matter who we are, their are tremendous benefits of stopping in our growth and development in different stages of our lives.

Psalms 37:7 reads, “Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him; do not fret over those who prosper in their way, over those who carry out evil devices.”

‭‭Let us stop, and wait, and be able to hear and feel what God is moving us to do next, and not be quick to forge ahead on our own.

Small Straws Scripture Matthew 6:14-15 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Forgiveness is for me and you, so let us not hold grudges against those who come against and use us, too.

Youversion Verse of the Day John 8:12

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”

In Christ, there is no darkness for He lights our way.

May we be still, seeing the light and walking well in His way and with forgiving hearts, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
