Stopping While Moving

Kundtz reminds us this morning that “Stopping often takes place most easily during a time of transition, of movement from one event to another or from one place to another. Whether it is a Stillpoint between appointments, on the way to or from work, on a Stopover weekend between work weeks, or on a Grinding Halt between life stages, it is a powerful ‘pause between the notes.’ To identify your most common transitions is a significant step toward incorporating Stopping into your life.” It is time for us (if we have not already) to be intentional about incorporating stopping; moreover, it’s time to plan some scheduled times. When I was working with my life coach, she would give me an assignment to schedule some time for myself, and during the next session, I would have to tell her the date and my intentions for the time alone. As I am wrapping up my family vacation, which had a lot of welcomed stillpoints and stopping, I am going to be intentional about scheduling periodic times to make this a normal routine in life. In the same way work and other activities are scheduled, stopping is important for our way of life and quality of life.

Matthew 11:29 says, “Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

‭‭When we trust in the Father, we can always find rest for whatever we are carrying on our own.

Small Straws Scripture: Proverbs 6:6-11 Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise, which having no captain, overseer or ruler, provides her supplies in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest. How long will you slumber, O sluggard? When will you rise from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep-so shall your poverty come on you like a prowler, and your need like an armed man.

Let us take on the mindset of preparation and responsiveness, to work to avoid crisis modes and reacting in haste.

Youversion Verse of the Day: Psalms 55:22

Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.

God will take care of us, there is never a need to worry or fret, for He has never failed us.

Give God everything and rest assured knowing He can do anything, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
