Risk it all with the Father

A gentle answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1

This morning’s devotional encourages us to “Extinguish the Fire”. It talks about “As you feed the fire, you cause it to grow and become stronger. This is how the Scriptures liken our response to anger.” It suggests, “If we can take a moment to pause, keep calm, and respond with grace and gentleness, we will help to calm the other person. It's worth trying.” My we not tempt and trigger others fueling the fire, but pause for peace.

John 2

As the mother of Jesus says unto the servants in John 2:5 “Whatsoever Jesus saith unto you, do it.” He will never misguide you.

REflection from Opportunity Leadership by Roger Parrott

The last message from “Opportunity Leadership” encourages us to “Risk the Unknown”. Parrott says, “The Bible is a collection of stories about great risk-takers. Each of their narratives is filled with daring courage as they answer the call to embrace opportunities such as building a boat, sacrificing a son, traveling on unknown paths, facing prison, or living in exile… Although unique in their calling and setting, all of these leaders shared a willingness to take enormous risks that were anchored in faith. Faith is our willingness to risk everything to trust God… Advances often come about because someone is willing to take a God-inspired risk that others are too fearful to tackle.” Let us get comfortable with the uncomfortable and take the risk God places BEfore us to activate our faith and future that He has in store for us.
