Our Father dwells as close to us as we allow Him; be open and available

Acceptable Words and Pleasing Thoughts

This morning’s message focuses on the tongue and the words we speak. There’s scripture that speaks about life and death in the power of the tongue, and this morning’s message says, “Often, we're tempted to speak before we think— especially in times of stress and tiredness. Rather than bringing blessing to those around us, we might even curse those we love. We can rip into their weaknesses and tear down their character instead of lifting them up with encouragement.” As we prepare for a new week and continue to move forward, let work to be mindful of the words we speak, working to be slow to speak, responding and not reacting, which brings less harm and more harmony.

Psalm 19:14 reads, “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.”

May we seek God to help us ensure the words we speak and our inner thoughts are pleasing to Him and of Him as our foundation and Savior.

Small Straws Scripture: James 1:5

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

When we need knowledge and support, we only have to ask God and He will provide without question or judgment.

Youversion Verse of the Day: Matthew 10:20

For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

We are never alone in our walk or speech; our Father is always near and dear to us.

Our Father dwells as close to us as we allow Him; be open and available, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
