Rest and relax, God always has our back

Stopovers: More of a Good Thing

Now we have heard from Kundtz about stopping; now he introduces us to stopovers. This way of meditation encourages to take a longer time spent doing nothing: an hour or several hours, a day, a weekend, or several days. Not this is separate from vacation, because you and I know that many times, especially as a parent, vacations aren’t a time of rest—it’s a time of getting away to do something with family. Stopovers are and intentional time at aside for you to do absolutely nothing. My life coach encouraged me to do this back in 2018. I had to schedule a date off to just be. At first it was uncomfortable, but now I say to myself I need to plan a day for nothingness and do. I actually have some time coming up. PTO is personal time off, not perform tasks for others.

Mark 6:31 encourages, “‘…Come away to a deserted place all by yourselves and rest a while…”. Rest is a part of life that is required of us, so let us be obedient.

Small Straws Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Trust in the Lord provides us with the best support and life that we could never orchestrate on our own.

Youversion Verse of the Day: Psalms 34:8

O taste and see that the Lord is good; happy are those who take refuge in him.

Let us know that His goodness is available to us, each day, all day, in whatever way we ask and welcome to receive.

Rest and relax, God always has our back, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
