The time is coming
Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident. Psalm 27:3
As we wrap up the final devotional from “Daily Strength for Women” and prepare for the near year, 2024, let us know that when we don’t know where to turn, we can always look to the Father. With a new year, there are going to be times that we feel “Unqualified”, as is the title of this last entry. “Let your confidence in God's ability be the driver today. You will feel a lot calmer when you realize this day does not have to be done in your own strength. The Lord is the one who hands out qualifications and all you need to do is ask for his help.” May we each day look to the Lord for preparation, for guidance, and strength to endure what He calls us to do.
Reflection from Living as an Overcomer
Day 7 from “Living as an Overcomer” speaks to “Reflecting Authentic Christianity: The Church in Laodicea”. Evans says, “Of all the churches we’ve looked at in these pages, Laodicea may reflect American culture most closely.… The church in Laodicea has the right externals—they look good, speak well, and raise their hands in worship. But they have the wrong internal motivation, conviction, and authenticity. Wealth flows, clothing is made, and hospitals thrive with the latest techniques and advances in medicine, but true spirituality languishes in the background of so-called more important material pursuits.“ As we enter into a new year, let us restore our focus and walk independently of others, but collectively as well. Let us work to ensure our prayer, praise, and practice are pleasing to Him, and not overshadowed by what He has blessed us with along our journey.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
Let us reflect upon what He has done and continue to wait in anticipation for what He will do to add more beauty to our lives.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
The time is coming, my friend.
