Trust the new you

So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. Hebrews 10:35-36

This morning’s message for “Daily Strength for Women” is titled “Perseverance”. It asks a question, “Do you remember when you first decided to flow Christ? Following God may come easy at first. We accept him into our lives and are swept into his love with incredible hope. But as time goes on, old temptations return, and threaten to shake our resolve. The confidence we felt in our relationship at first lessens as we wonder if we have what it takes to stick it out in this Christian life.” I remember joining the church to be baptized when I was in the fourth grade. Life was pretty simple then. I had childlike faith, didn’t have “real” problems, and of course my parents were taking care of abs providing for me. However, as an adult this JOurneY has had it’s ups and downs and challenges. Regardless of the matters at hand, I always knew God was with me, and would always be. If you question your faith today, or just need a little reminder to keep holding on, look to Hebrews 10:35-36 that was highlighted. It reads, “Do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God's will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.“
