Daily Devotional for April 15, 2021
“Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 NLT
In Osteen’s words, “Pain will change us. Difficulties, heartache, suffering—they don’t leave us the same...You can come out bitter, or you can come out better.” I say that life’s experiences bring blessings or lessons. Whatever the perspective, when in Christ it’s all about learning, growing, and truly embracing that your latter will BE greater and your BEst is yet to come if you focus on the fact that all things will work for you good. I never imagined that so much JOY could come from the painful experiences of divorce and the death of my father. But the events and the timing were all a part of God’s plan to strengthen me and prepare me for my latter, which I am now living along my JOurneY. You might get tired of me saying it, but this only continues to show that we must go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) for our breakthrough. Take courage, my friend; weeping may endure for a night, but JOY cometh in the mo(u)rning (Psalm 30:5).
Luke 3
In this life, our purpose is so much more important than what we profit. As written in Luke 3:11 and 13, “Whoever has two coats must share with anyone who has none; and whoever has food must do likewise...He said to them, “Collect no more than the amount prescribed for you” (Luke 3:11, 13 NRSV). Let us not BEcome greedy, but giving as we are blessed, for we are blessed to BE a blessing to others.
REflection from 21-Day Plan for Busy Women: A Rich and Satisfying Life
Today’s message from “21 Day Plan for Busy Women: A Rich and Satisfying Life”, REminds us that sometimes we will see something in people that they will BE unable to see for themselves. The devotional speaks, “Barak said to her, ‘If you will go with me, I will go; but if you will not go with me, I will not go.’ And she said, ‘I will surely go with you...’” (Judges 4:8-9 NRSV). Similarly, we must BE servant leaders, walking alongside and guiding others along life’s way, helping them along life’s JOurneY.
Matthew 6:6
As secretive as it may seem, there is no secret to what God can do. However, we must seek Him in quiet contemplation to hear Him speak secretively to us individually for His plans for our lives. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
There is no trepidation in trusting Thee this Thursday, my friend.
