REmain humble in Christ

In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8

I just giggled as I REad today’s devotional that’s titled “Crazy”. All of my toes were stepped on, but I can admit, the discussion is a REminder for me to continue to work on one of my goals—I can do all things through Christ, but I cannot do all things.

The message says, “Why do we put such unrealistic expectations on ourselves? What even possessed us to think we could do the work of sixteen people? In a single day. With perfect results. And with our lipstick still on. It's time for a come-to-Jesus moment. Literally. Bring your calendars, schedules, and lists, and give them all to him. Ask him to be the keeper of your schedule, to show you what he wants you to do--and not do.” Lord, I turn everything over to you, especially my work. As with the trinity, may we focus on three tasks, and then consider anything else a bonus. May we BE led by Colossians 3:23 and stay focused on Thee.

Mark 14

As with the disciples when Jesus went to Galilee in Mark 14:28, He will always go ahead of us.

Reflection from Sacred Search by Gary Thomas

Today’s devotional from “Sacred Search” is called “A Good Spouse…”. Experience is truly the BEst teacher and I co-sign on today’s message. Thomas says, “humility is not thinking less of yourself, it is think less about yourself. It is someone who, like Jesus, believes he has come “not to be served, but to serve.” He then notes and highlights, “A good spouse is humble, is able to forgive, communicated, prays, handles conflict appropriately, keeps friends, etc.“. These things are basic but many times are ignored or overlooked as love can BE blinding and makes us do crazy things. If we can’t focus on anything else, let us look, listen, hear, and feel Christ; if not, it’s not for us.

Philippians 4:19

Just ask in His name; He has everything we need.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
