Daily Devotional for April 5, 2021

“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: These are the words of the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens:”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3:7‬ ‭NRSV‬‬

As I REad this morning’s devotional I literally said out loud, “Oh, my God!” Our Savior NEVER fails to speak about my life’s situations. The message today, “Closed Doors”, perfectly aligns with my experience yesterday. I am in the process of purchasing a new home, and I met my realtor yesterday to view a home. From the day she sent me the lead, I felt like it was going to BE the perfect one for me. Everything I was looking for was found in this home, however, the location would hinder me. As I finished viewing the bonus room I said out loud, “I can’t BElieve this! I just want to cry! I don’t even want to look at it anymore!”

As much as I loved it, I knew it was not for me, and as I was driving down the street to visit my family for Easter, God sent me a message through one of His own. My realtor texted me, “Don’t get discouraged. ❤️God will allow us to find the perfect 🏡 for you and the kids. Your perfect sanctuary filled with love, serenity and peace.” That comforted me at the time, and as usual, this morning’s devotional REminds me that God has a plan even for my next home. Osteen says, “Don’t be discouraged over something that didn’t work out the way you wanted. God knows what He’s doing. You may not see it now, but one day when you see what God was up to, you’ll be glad He closed the doors.”

I know God closed the door on that home for a REason, and with everything, I just needed the gentle REminder to wait well and with expectancy for I know He is going to Ephesians 3:20 this situation in my life. Osteen goes further to REmind me, “As long as you’re honoring Him and being your best, at the right time God will get you to where you’re supposed to be. It may not be where you thought, but God is going to take you further than you ever imagined.” I can’t wait to share yet another TESTimony of how this situation was worked for my good, but until then, I’ll trust Him and continue to stay in faith, for as today’s scripture says, He will open a door that no one can shut on me (Revelation 3:7).

Daniel 5

As with the previous devotional, many times in our hearts and minds, we can see the writing in the wall, but it takes our Father using something or someone else to help us understand His message, as David served as the interpreter for King Belshazzar. Let us humble our hearts, and exalt praise to the Lord of heaven! Let us not praise the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or know; but let us honor God in whose power is our very breath, and to whom belong all our ways (Daniel‬ ‭5:22-23‬ ‭NRSV‬‬).

REflection from Life After Life

Today’s message from “Life After Life” says, When we worship through singing to God, it’s one way that we can thank and praise him for all of the great things that he does.”These words REsonate with me this morning. Each day I literally sing praises to our Father for all He has done and is doing in my life, but today I will focus on praising Him for what He will do in my life.

Romans 8:1

When we are in Christ, know that we have BEen approved. There is nothing we can ever do nor no one who can keep us from His love that has withstood the test of time. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Marvel in the Master this Monday, my friend.
