We win in Christ, even if it looks like a loss, when we allow Him jurisdiction over our lives
Enemies
As Kundtz speaks about enemies this morning, I thought to myself, “They can make us better, not bitter.” A quote is highlighted from Antisthenes, the fourth century Greek philosopher, which says, “Pay attention to your enemies, for they are the first to discover your mistakes.” Kundtz follows by emphasizing, “The more we can see our enemies as teachers, the more serenity and peace of mind we'll have in their presence… people who oppose you, who have a different set of assumptions from you, who don't see things the way you do, or even who don't like you. They may have something valuable. They may be able to help you see your mistakes, the areas in which you need to grow, or the hidden areas of your personality.” I know the people described have truly helped me with my faith walk. I have learned the importance of turning to Christ when I wanted to lash out, I have learned to be the bigger person and being blessed instead because of my actions or lack thereof.
Isaiah 29:19 reads, “The meek also shall increase their joy in the Lord…”. Understand that meek and weak are not the same. When we are meek, we are submitting ourselves and situations to Christ, not those who come against us. When we do, He will always fight for us and we can rest boldly in our faith for He is our vindicator.
Small Straws Scripture: Isaiah 46:3-4
Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been upheld by Me from birth, who have been carried from the womb: Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.
There is no time in our lives that our Father has not or will not be there to help us and hold us together in all of life’s situations.
Youversion Verse of the Day: 1 Peter 5:7
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
Whatever is troubling us and keeping us from our best, let go and let God, for He will handle it so we can rest.
We win in Christ, even if it looks like a loss, when we allow Him jurisdiction over our lives, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
