Without struggle there is no progress, but in the Father we can always REst
“Oh, that I had wings like a dove; then I would fly away and rest!” Psalm 55:6
Today’s scripture associated with the message from “Daily Strength for Women” comes from Psalm 55:6. It REads, “Oh, that I had wings like a dove; then I would fly away and rest!” The passage for today speaks about the lives we love today, unlike that of our grandparents’ era. “Our calendars are crammed with commitments.… Halfway through the day, we're so tired we don't think we'll make it to the end of the day. We have to plan for rest just like we do everything else in our lives, because it won't just happen. Be intentional about setting time aside to spend with God. That's where real refreshment and strength come from, and those moments will make the remainder of your day so much better.“ Never forget with all of His creating, the Father REsted.
Every part of us needs REst: body, mind, and soul. Your entire life needs fueling, but you must stop to fill up with energy. Take time for sufficient REst physically, and mental and spiritual REst, seeking the Lord.
Matthew 27
As with Jesus in Matthew 27:14, when the enemy comes against us at times, make no reply. Though some try to slander us, God will BE our vindicator, fighting our battles and giving us a new life.
Reflection from CLT ALT Delete: Resetting our Heartware
We are REminded this morning that we serve the “God Of The Impossible”. Hope Singapore poses a question this morning; “Is there anything in your life that seems impossible? Such situations tempt us to believe that they are beyond the reach of God. It could be a sickness we have been battling for years, a difficult relationship, a wayward child, adapting to a new season of life or a sin we keep falling back to time and again. Judah was on the brink of being destroyed by the Babylonians, yet God promised that restoration will take place in the future… To Judah, it was an impossible situation. They could not see beyond the present. Their current challenges already seemed so insurmountable.“ We all have to REmember that nothing is impossible for God.
Anything that is meant to prosper us and not harm us—everything that is a part of His plan will turn from what looks like impossible to I’M POSSIBLE. What you and I may experience now is not all that it seems when we cannot see how things are going to change. REmember, all power is in His hands; He can do all things but fail. Hold on to Jeremiah 32:27, nothing is to hard for God.
Matthew 5:44
he difficult task of loving your enemies and praying for those against you will cause the Father to abundantly bless and keep you.
Without struggle there is no progress, but in the Father we can always REst, my friend.
