Place your problems in the Potter’s hands and focus on the positive perspective of things
I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Psalm 27:13
My dear friend encourages students (and others) to “Get behind the wheel of your own success!” That popped into my mind as I REad this morning’s devotional titled “The Good Lane”. The author says, “Do you ever catch yourself dwelling on the negative aspects of life? We can be nonchalant when someone tells us good news, but talk for hours about conflict, worries, and disappointment…. Give your mind over to truth, honor, pure and lovely things today. You are sure to find goodness in unexpected places!” As I prepare to BEgin a much needed vacation, and as you start this day, may we seek the positive perspective in every situation. As today’s scripture from Psalm 27:13 REminds us, BElieve that we will see the goodness of the Lord, for as with Romans 8:28, God will work every for our good.
REflection from Overcome Weariness in the Trials of Life by Melanie Norris
In today’s message “Connecting with the Lord”, the author asks, “Have you reached the point of exhaustion, feeling overwhelmed by your circumstances and defeated by your efforts to change them? What if I told you that it’s possible to experience relief from your pressures and rest for your weary soul?” She goes on to show us the One who we can turn to when we REach this point. Matthew 11:28-30 says, “Come to me, all of you, who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take up my yoke and learn from me, because I am lowly and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” What is a yoke, you may ask? It is a harness that helps to carry a load and lift the burden. Whatever you and I are carrying, we can let go. Let us cling to the Father who is more than able to carry all of our loads.
James 1:27
May we always strive to care for one another and not BE overtaken BE the negativity of the world.
Place your problems in the Potter’s hands and focus on the positive perspective of things, my friend.
