Sit, submit, and surrender to the Savior
But they soon forgot what he had done and did not wait for his plan to unfold. Psalm 106:13
“With minds that are often full of so many things, forgetfulness can threaten to derail your appointments, friendships, and even your relationship with Jesus. It's not that Jesus will ever depart from you, but if you quickly forget the good and gracious things he has done, you are less likely to spend time communicating with him.“ Let us always take time to talk to the Savior. Every moment of our lives, no matter how busy or how REstless we may BE, we should never overlook time to spend with Thee. He’s there to comfort and supply all we need, and to listen and bless us indeed.
REflection from Overcome Weariness in the Trials of Life
This morning’s message from Melanie Norris encourages us to “Submit to the Lord”. She says, “When we are wronged, we want to respond with anger and rage. However, having accepted the invitation to take up Jesus’ yoke (Matthew 11:28-30), we must now submit to His way of doing things. Any other way will only bring more frustration and weariness and lead to harm.” She goes further to REmind us, “If the Lord’s job is to repay evildoers, our job as His followers is to willingly submit to Him, even if it doesn’t make sense. That means we have to adjust our thoughts and behaviors.” Let us stop BEing in our feelings about those things that come to kill, steal, and destroy our peace and JOY, but REmember the One who can do more than we can ask or imagine—He’s ultimately in control. He is our vindicator and will take care of our challenges and REward us for doing what is pleasing to His sight.
Proverbs 22:6
May we impress upon our children to press towards the mark of the high calling in Jesus Christ, as early as their preschool days.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Sit, submit, and surrender to the Savior, my friend.
