Daily Devotional for March 1, 2021
“So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then he took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh.” (Genesis 2:21 NRSV)
To paraphrase Osteen’s message this morning: “If God didn’t put us to sleep, so to speak, going T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) a night season, we would never see the fullness of what He has in store for us. If you would have asked me on this day what my life would look like eighteen years later, I would have never guessed what I’m living. But like with Adam, God has to take us through night seasons to do exceedingly abundantly more than we can ever ask or think. He truly works EVERYTHING for our good, and the BEst is yet to come!
Nehemiah 7
Nehemiah 7 REminds us that we are truly heirs and are a part of a long lineage of BElievers. Let us BE accepting of our history and take our places as we BEcome history for future generations.
REflection from Restoration: Deluxe Bible Plan
Growth and maturity allow us to see, understand, and interpret things differently. I have finally grown to appreciate the follow scripture: “My brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of any kind, consider it nothing but joy, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance; and let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing”
(James 1:2-4 NRSV). Now the me from a few years ago had no clue. However, as Legare speaks in the first message from the series “Restoration: Deluxe Bible Plan”, God used all the pain, all the hurt to grow me...to REstore me. As we go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak), my brothers and sisters, as encouraged by Lecrae, “Look at your trials through the lens of your faith in God.” That will bless and keep you through it all.
Colossians 3:1-2
Greater is promised if you just keep your focus in Christ. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
