Let friendship and fellowship lead you

“These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.”

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I knew today’s message would provide me an option to REflect on my life. Just yesterday, as today’s devotional speaks to, I was tested. We know in this life tests are going to come, but as Osteen speaks about Joseph, and how he was destined to BEcome a ruler in Egypt, he was sold into slavery for something he didn’t do. Yet, as Osteen wrote, “Joseph knew his end had been set, so he just kept being his best.” We must also activate our faith in similar times when we are BEing tested. When you know you are BEing wrongly accused by (wo)man, know that in the same manner we are judged that person, too, shall BE judged, and vice versa. In my Tupac voice, “Only God can judge me.”So let us bow out from battles with others (though in the moment it may look like we lose) and bow down and let the Father vindicate us, proving sometimes we have to lose to win.

1 Samuel 10

God will give us signs along this life for confirmation of where He is directing us to go. As Samuel spoke with Saul in 1 Samuel 10, “After these signs take place, do what must be done, for God is with you.” Don’t miss what He has in store for your life.

REflection from Promises for Your Everyday Life

The mind is a powerful thing, and it takes time to REprogram it. Sometimes when we see certain words, things, and even people, our minds go to negative thoughts, but things aren’t what we think. That’s what happened this morning as I read the message from Joyce Meyer. The title, “Conviction is Necessary” immediately had me thinking “uh oh”, but in actuality she was speaking in the context of our Father, not with (wo)man. God wants to convict us, not as in guilty according to others and their worldly thoughts, but convicted in the Holy Spirit. As Meyer says, “His message of convicting love is everywhere. He wants us to listen to Him because He loves us.” Today, let’s stand convicted in Christ as we work to love and serve as a REflection of Him.

Ephesians 4:32

May we BE forgiving as friends, and kind as kindred spirits in Christ. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Let friendship and fellowship lead you this Friday, my friend.
