Let us REmain fervent in the Father
For the Lord your God has blessed you in everything you have done. He has watched your every step through this great wilderness…and you have lacked nothing.” Deuteronomy 2:7
Sometimes when I wake up in the morning and BEgin my meditation and devotional time, I question if I’m doing what I’m supposed to as I work to follow Christ. And just like this morning, He provides just the right message, always REminding me that everything He ordains. The scripture from Osteen’s message this morning is from Deuteronomy 2:7 and REads, “For the Lord your God has blessed you in everything you have done. He has watched your every step through this great wilderness…and you have lacked nothing.” God has and continues to BE with me along life’s JOurneY.
This morning, Osteen REminds us that our JOurneY is more important than our destination. Why? Osteen says, “Because if you’re not prepared during the journey, you don’t learn what you’re supposed to learn along the way, and you won’t be able to handle where God is taking you.” He goes further to say, “When you have to stretch your faith, that’s strengthening your spiritual muscles.”
Yesterday I walked into a session at a conference that I never imagined attending. As an educator, I told myself to sit in “The T” (that means along the front row or down the middle of the room). After the room
filled up and dialogue began, I heard a familiar voice, and looked up to find a former colleague. After the session we connected and began to catch up. I introduced her to another colleague, and we all sat and chatted. As we sat there, both BEgan to speak about experiences with me, and I was humbled. I REalized this morning that all that I have experienced along life’s JOurneY was preparing me for such a time as this. I had to go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) to get to this breakthrough. I never imagined I would BE in this place to hear from peers about my impact on their careers. I can only imagine what He has in store for the next leg of my path.
Judges 6
As commanded by the Lord in Judges 6:14, may we go with the strength He has given us…and where He is sending us.
REflection from Promises for Your Everyday Life
This morning Joyce Meyer speaks to breaking bad habits. She says, “Bad relationships are one of the hardest habits to break, but if we choose to end them, we can spare ourselves a lot of trouble and pain.” She goes further to say, I'm not going to say that breaking a bad habit is easy, but it's God's desire for us to take authority over our bad habits. He doesn't want us to be ‘bossed around’ by our emotions, He wants us to have victory.” We have choices in life, and we must choose who and what has authority over us. Let us choose Christ, and He will help us break every chain.
Philippians 4:9
There is a saying that the way you practice is the way you will perform. Let us continue to put into practice what He has taught us so performing comes second nature as we walk with Christ each day. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Let us REmain fervent in the Father this Friday, my friend.
