Stay true to you and the Lord will see you through

Lisa Nichols spoke to an audience via Youtube and said, “I am my own rescue”, meaning we are REsponsible for saving ourselves when we encounter issues. This is the truth, however, there are times when we must call out to Christ BEcause we cannot go at some things alone. As this morning’s devotional says, “Sometimes you rescue can come in the form of another person...God has humanity in his image and can express himself through people with their kind acts, words of encouragement, and often a great piece of advice or wisdom.” That just happened to me yesterday (and may times BEfore). Someone was trying to tell me how to feel as I am navigating through life. I REmained REspectful but quiet. As a REsult of doing so, the next interaction I had was with my direct supervisor. She made a comment about an action she took that someone REsponded to that was confirmation to what I needed. We must BE open to listen to God as He REveals himself and REsponds to us in His own way, even through people and things. BE open and observant today and each day, not overlooking your prayers BEing answered.

REflection from Healing What’s Hidden by Evan and Jenny Owens

Today we BEgin “Healing What’s Hidden” by Evan and Jenny Owens. Today’s message is titled “Prisoner of Hope”. The writers say, “Trauma is subjective. If you feel as if what you went through was traumatic, it probably was. However, if you feel that your experience wasn’t traumatic, you may or may not be correct because trauma is tricky…. The first step in healing trauma is acknowledging its existence.” The message goes on to highlight Revelations 21:5, which REminds us that God’s innate REaction to brokenness is REstoration. A some people push us, the writers REmind us that we don’t have to “cosmetically dress up” what we’ve experienced. Feel what you need to feel, and allow God to help you T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) to REstoration for your timing, in His timing just for you.
