May we sit idle and dwell in His goodness and not make idols of work and worries of the world
Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. For we live by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:6-7
This morning’s devotional “Faith or Sight” says, “In 2 Corinthians it says we live by faith, not sight. We often doubt God. Living by faith is giving up any control we thought we had, and sitting in the passenger seat in eager anticipation of where God is taking us.” There are things that we all desire, but let us not forget what God has already blessed us with and that He’s will may BE to do exceedingly and abundantly more than we want. Let us wait without worry or trying to will things ourselves to BE amazed by all that is in store.
REflection from Balanve at Work by Workmatters
The final message from “Balance at Work” speaks to “Rhythm: Needing One Thing vs. Having It All”. In the text the writer says, “Many of us operate as if everything at work depends on us…. Hard work has value, but it is not more important than our relationship with Christ…. For us to live an integrated life and achieve balance, we have to let go of the feeling that it all depends on us. We need depend on Christ instead.” Let us REmember that even Jesus would still away to REst and pray. Let us not BE consumed with the ways of the world, to include the work ethic and expectations in such a demanding environment, but let us REmemeber that we cannot do all things, but we can do all things through Christ as he leads us.
Psalms 8:3-4
Let us always BE mindful of the marvelous work of the Master, for if He does for the world, there’s no doubt He’ll do for me and you.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
May we sit idle and dwell in His goodness and not make idols of work and worries of the world, my friend.
