Work unto Christ each day

But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” James 4:6

Today’s message from “Daily Strength for Women” speaks about “Vulnerability”. It says, “Some of the most substantial and ultimately wonderful changes in our lives come from moments of vulnerability: laying our cards on the table, so to speak, and letting someone else know how much they really mean to us.” It goes on to say, “But vulnerability takes one key ingredient: humility. And humility is not an easy pill to swallow.” Let’s not let pride get in the way and cause us to fall along life’s JOurneY. Is there someone that you need to open up to in order to apologize and bring about REsolve? Do it today for James 4:6 says, "God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble." Don’t block your blessings by protecting your pride.

REflection from Balance at Work by Workmatters

The message this morning from “Balance at Work” speaks to “The Discipline of Not Reacting to Stress”. The writer says, “Living a truly integrated life in which family, faith, work, and recreation flow together more seamlessly requires discipline in how we manage our emotions. We need to have the discipline to take care of ourselves spiritually, physically, and emotionally, and set healthy boundaries.” We have to truly work at work to keep Christ first and in the forefront of all that we do. As we go along this day and each day, may we REflect on these words from a prayer in today’s message: “Lord, help me to abide in you more deeply with each day so that I can bear much fruit in my work. We can do all things through Christ, but we must trust in Him to show us the way.
