Pray through preparation and the processes of the work ahead each day

That night the king could not sleep; so he ordered the book of the chronicles, the record of his reign, to be brought in and read to him. Esther 6:1

This morning’s message “Sleep Like a King” talks about REstless nights saying, “God uses even sleepless nights for his purposes. Can it be God has your eyes open and mind alert for an unseen reason? Your reason may be as simple as prayer. Perhaps someone needs intercession and you are awake for that purpose.” We must learn to understand that everything God ordains; there is a REason for everything that occurs in our lives. I REcall not BEing able to sleep many nights or awakening early and wondering why. I was actually ignoring what God was trying to say to me and show me. Then finally I allowed myself to BE and just hear Him as He spoke clearly saying “write”—and I did. As a REsult, a book was published as a testament of my faith and shared with the world, for I asked Him to use me as His willing vessel. So next time you find yourself awake at night, listen—truly listen to hear what He’s trying to say to you and see it through.

REflection from Balance at Work by Workmatters

This morning’s topic from “Balance at Work” speaks to “Conscious Priorities”. It says, “While we may do our best to multi-task, if we’re honest, we can only do excellent work when we do one thing at a time. It may be difficult, but we have to prioritize.” Like Mary, who chose to listen to the teaching of Jesus instead of serving (as a woman), which was counter-cultural at that time, we must allow “Jesus’ influence to be louder than that of our culture.” Let us REmain focused on Romans 12:2 which tells us, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Pray BEfore work allowing God to help you prioritize your processes and projects to produce quality work with a peace of mind.
