Pace yourself and pray along your way each day
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, Psalm 46:1-2
As we prepare for this new work week, let us REmember words spoken from today’s devotional from “Daily Strength for Women”. “Our strength and our courage come from God. Even if everything is crumbling down around us, we can find refuge in him because he is greater than the world. He is always prepared to offer his people comfort and hope…”. No matter what comes our way, we can look to Him to provide exactly what we need when we need it. No worries this week, just worship with Thee. Focus on Psalm 46:1, “God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.” On Him we can always depend.
REflection from Balanced at Work by Workmatters
Today we BEgin the plan “Balanced at Work” by Workmatters. The title alone encourages us to “Live an Integrated Life”. The message BEgins saying, “‘Work-life balance’ infers that work is separate from life when, in actuality work is a major part of life.” The text then speaks about Martha hosting Jesus at her home, and how she chose the role of hostess while Mary chose the role of listener. The text says, “But Jesus used the opportunity to teach us that God’s priorities are different from what society expects. Perhaps one of the mistakes Martha made was to see the situation as either/or – serve or listen…integrating the two as opposed to compartmentalizing.” Let us work to integrate the Lord in our work. Let us ask for His help with tasks, let us listen to what our mind, body and soul are telling us, and let us do what we are called to do, but REst in Him when time.
