Daily Devotional for April 12, 2021
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 1 John 5:14
As much as we ask and pray, some things in our lives are just not supposed to work out, because they are not a part of God’s plan for our lives. Nothing in this life should BE forced or uncomfortable; things shouldn’t bring us stress and anxiety, for it is written in Galatians 5:22, “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness...” Nowhere does living in the Spirit speak of misery and defeat, frustration, or heartache. As Osteen emphasizes this morning, “You’re not always going to understand why your plans aren’t working out. If you did, it wouldn’t take any faith...but if you trust Him unconditionally...God is going to work out His plan for your life...and take you to the fullness of your destiny.”
Daniel 12
Let us REmain in Christ and continue to do His will. For as in Daniel 12, “Happy are those who persevere... Go your way, and rest; you shall rise for your reward at the end of the days” (Daniel 12:12-13 NRSV).
REflection from 21 Day Plan for Busy Women: A Rich and Satisfying Life
There is a focus on how we should live in Christ through the messages this morning. As we BEgin the new series, “21 Day Plan for Busy Women: A Rich and Satisfying Life”, we see more scripture associated with God’s expectations for us. As the writers of Freestyle Living state, let us trade in our “‘just-get-through-it life’ for the ‘rich and satisfying life’ Jesus promised. The Bible records these words of Jesus, ‘My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.’ (John 10:10 NLT). The King James Version reads like this: ‘I have come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.’” A life of peace and prosperity is promised for each of us; we just must trust and BElieve it, and walk by faith to REceive it.
James 1:2-3
Let us count everything in this life as pure JOY, for there is JOY in the JOurney on the onset through a blessing, or through REflection in a lesson. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Make your mind up to mimic the life of Christ this Monday, my friend.
