On Him we can always depend

“My companion attacks his friends; he violates his covenant.” Psalms‬ ‭55:20‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We truly may not understand things as we are going T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) but we come to understand by and by. As I’m REading this morning’s devotional by Osteen for the second time since the first time almost four years ago, I can truly understand now what God was doing in my life for my life then. Osteen says this morning, “Sometimes we know a person's not good for us, we know they're dragging us down, but we think if we let them go, we're going to be lonely…. It's better to make the change and be lonely for a season than to be poisoned for a lifetime.” As with seasons, fields have to BE cleared and new crops planted for new harvest. Everything in life is temporary, including pain and loneliness. Hindsight is 20/20 for me now, and my latter has BEen so much greater, and I know my BEst is still yet to come.

Isaiah 53

As just mentioned, though we may feel pain, it is only temporary, for Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice for you and me. As in Isaiah 53:4-5, “Jesus took up our pain and bore our suffering… he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”

REflection from Promises for Your Everyday Life

I love and needed Meyer’s prayer starter as I prepare to BEgin this work week. It says, “Holy Spirit, help me to be calm, cool and steady, so that I can be free to do the work that You are calling me to do.” She lifts up 2 Timothy 4:5, and says, “Instead of being ruled by our emotions when we're confronted with problems, we should calm down and focus on doing what God has called us to do.“ When we get frustrated and upset, let us go to the Father and REset; He will calm us, guide us, and direct us to and through.

Matthew 11:28

Whatever we are carrying mentally, physically, emotionally, or financially, we can take it to the Father who will lift the burden and carry it.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

On Him we can always depend, my friend.
