Daily Devotional for August 20
For I know that my Redeemer lives, and that at the last he will stand upon the earth. Job 19:25
I have always heard others say, “Be patient like Job.” But in addition, we should strive to BE persistent and as positive as Job. He is clearly an example of what God can do if we wait on Him patiently yet wait in expectancy, for He will give us double for our trouble and beauty for our ashes. Let us not have a defeated mindset as we encounter difficulties and struggle along the way, but let us focus on a destiny determined destination that God is using everything to work for our good.
Job 30
The context in Job 30 is an example of how, like Jesus, though others may slay us, yet shall we trust in Him.
This morning, Bayless Conley speaks about abundance and prosperity. He says, “Abundance, or prosperity, is having all that you need to meet any circumstance, with enough left over to give wherever God might direct you.” We are walking into our season of abundance, for our mindsets are shifting to understand God’s perspective for our lives. Our Father is rich in houses and land, and we are His heirs. More importantly He is love and we are made in His image. When we strive each day to live in love and love others as ourselves, blessings BEgin and continue to flow in abundance. May we work each day to give freely to others through our time, talents, and treasures, for all are gifts from God who supplies all we need and prevents us from ever lacking and living in poverty. His love is never ceasing and is always available in overflow.
1 Timothy 2:5
Simply put, there is none like Him. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
