Daily Devotional for August 19, 2020
And let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. Hebrews 12:1-2
I continue to tell people that I feel like I didn’t truly start living until my 40’s, and as a matter of fact, not until I was 42. I REcall talking to my life coach and she spoke about life happening in cycles of 7 years. As I continuously state throughout a number of devotionals, we have to go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, REgrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) to get to our breakthrough.
For so long I was living life, but not living my life for Christ. I was doing what I felt I needed to do and not what He had planned for me. This is where “Everything God Ordains” BEcame evident in my life. For the most part, everything that I strived to do I accomplished. Hindsight is 20/20 in this year of 2020 and the last few years of my life had to BE experienced so that I could truly learn the importance of prayer and leaning not unto my own understanding, patience to know that God will work everything out according to His plan and purpose for my life. Additionally, I have learned the importance of perseverance, as Osteen speaks to this morning. But not just persevering through situations; I strive to keep a positive perspective through it all for I have come to learn (in Osteen’s words), there is still life in front of me.
I’m so grateful for my REstoration and REbirth in Christ to BEgin again, and I am thankful for a shift in mindset to pray, push, and patiently persevere through to run this race to see what He has for me, living in the moment with no REgrets.
Job 29
In all that we may go through, ma we not only BE patient like Job, but even during our trials and tribulations may we give freely and support others, so as Job in Job 29:24-25, when we smile others believe and see the light of our faces and not only see the way to Christ but feel comfort.
May we take a big leap to walk in God’s purpose and plan for our lives and write the vision and make it plain and persevere to see it through.
1 John 2:6
Actions speak louder than words. May we BE able to show others better than tell them of the goodness of Christ. Let us walk boldly as examples to be followed. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Walk without worry in wellness and your worth this Wednesday, my friend.
