Daily Devotional for August 28, 2020

“Rise up; this matter is in your hands. We will support you, so take courage and do it.”” ‭‭Ezra‬ ‭10:4‬

Each day I am amazed at how God’s word through the devotionals aligns with my life. Yesterday I was issued a number of challenges in life and I have begun to accept them head on, but my focus and fortitude to forge ahead is definitely a REsult of me “shaking off what didn’t work out (in my life)...and allowing God pay me back for the wrongs that have happened in my life”, as Joel Osteen writes. What continues to help me along the way is the support I continue to REceive from family, friends, and many times strangers. As the scripture for today REminds us, with God in our side, we can “rise up...take courage and do...”. God qualifies the called and equips each of us with what we need to come into our own, especially the moral support from those around us. So I take a moment right now to thank you, my friend, for BEing a source of strength for me as I continue to walk into my season, striving to do the will of God.

Job 28

Franklin D. Roosevelt is known for saying, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself,” as speaking to Americans that their fear makes things worse. Shall we stand confident, though, that our fear of the Lord is wisdom, as spoken in Job 28:28, and as we walk with Him we shall not fear any evil for He is with us, but we shall walk boldly for we are His own.

As we continue on this day, may we as found in today’s devotional by The Navigators, “Aspire to move forward.” We are REsponsible for who we are, who we BEcome and what we do and say. As in Joshua 1:9, may we BE strong and courageous...for the Lord our God will be with us wherever we go.” Let us walk boldly in faith striving to achieve all that God has placed in us to do in this life.

1 John 1:7

Shall we strive to BE the light for others to see and share His goodness for He is the Light of the world and we are his heirs. When you shine, I shine—we all shine for Christ. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Turn up the temperature to take on a new task to take you to your trajectory, this Tuesday, my friend.
