Devotional for September 4, 2020

“I said, “Oh, that I had the wings of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭55:6‬ ‭

This morning Osteen says, “You may be up against obstacles... and when you look out into your future it can be overwhelming. But God promises He will renew you’re strength.” Whether you are consumed with trials or triumphs, you don’t have to worry, but only have to REst and BE still. For in His word it says, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Keep your endurance so you may run on to see what the end will BE.

Ecclesiastes 3

Ecclesiastes 3, REminds us that there is a time for everything, and there is nothing better for a person than to enjoy their work, because that is their lot. (Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3:22‬) May we live in the moment with no REgrets, ever striving to walk along this glorious adventure with passion and for our purpose.

As we walk in our passion and purpose and prosper, Steve Repak notes, let us not confuse having those worldly things with having our Godly financial house in order. Hindsight is 2020 and during this year as I continue to REflect on where I have come from and how far I have come, I think about walking in faith and leaving my former life to walk into a new season. As I do I tend to focus on Mark 8:36, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Many looked at me, married with children, a home, multiple cars and jobs, yet my soul was lost. Yet God REscued me and REstored me, blessing me in ways that could never BE REceived through earthly things.

Jeremiah 17:9

May we love God with all of our heart and let Him fill it, for He is the only one who understands and loves us in a manner that no man or woman ever could. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

REmain forward, focused and following in faith (and not fear) and favor towards freedom this Friday, my friend.
