Daily Devotional for October 17, 2020

“That same night the Lord said to him, “Take the second bull from your father’s herd, the one seven years old. Tear down your father’s altar to Baal and cut down the Asherah pole beside it. Then build a proper kind of altar to the Lord your God on the top of this height. Using the wood of the Asherah pole that you cut down, offer the second bull as a burnt offering.”” ‭‭Judges‬ ‭6:25-26‬ ‭

I love to awake and REad God’s word for our lives as shared through others and His word. This morning Joel Osteen speaks to the fact that we were “Created to Excel”. In his words, “Don’t make the mistake for settling for ‘good enough’. Good enough is not your destiny.” I don’t know if it’s BEcause I am on a 21 day detox and fast, but my mind immediately focused on salad dressing! (LOL) When certain dressings sit, all of the delicious herbs and spices settle to the bottom, and the oil and vinegar separate. But when you shake it all up, it’s great! My charge to you, my friend is to capture every thought about your life. Where do you feel you are settling? Now, stop sitting comfortably and work to shake up those areas to taste and see the goodness and greatness God has in store for your life.

Deuteronomy 34

As we JOurneY along this glorious adventure may we strive to BE like Moses, leading others to our Father. (Deuteronomy 34:10)

Do you remember your dreams is your younger years? What was that one thing? Now think on this: today’s devotional from Julia Jeffress Sandler’s “Pray Big Things”, REminds us that “God often gives us the dream first to help prepare us with hope for the future. As with Joseph, he heard from God before he heard his brothers’ plot to take his life.” God gives us the dream first to show us what can be and is to come, but we must REmain forward, focused and following in faith (and not fear) and favor. We must also REmember that all of the experiences from the vision to fruition are meant to and will work for our good (Romans 8:28). We must keep the faith and do the work to REceive all that He has prepared for us.

Romans 8:31

When we are on one accord with God, no one or nothing else matters. We have all we truly need in Him. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Set time aside this Saturday to set your standards to succeed and reach your dream, my friend.
