Daily Devotional for March 26, 2021

A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], but the LORD directs his steps and establishes them. Proverbs 16:9 AMP

Last night I took part in a listening session as a transformational leader spoke about how the organization has worked to “zig” when others “zag” and has not BEen afraid to do what’s BEst and not what everyone else is doing. That conversation immediately came to mind as I was REading today’s devotional by Joel Osteen. This morning’s message, “Twists and Turns”, focused on the scripture from Proverbs 16:9 which says, “A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], But the LORD directs his steps and establishes them.” Osteen goes on to say, “God doesn’t take us in a straight line. There will be twists, turns, disappointments, losses, and bad breaks. They’re all a part of His plan... Trust Him even when it feels as though you’re going in the wrong direction.“ As I continue to REmind myself and my coaching clients, sometimes what doesn’t look right to (wo)man is a part of God’s plan. We must blaze our own trails to truly embrace our personal JOurneY and evolve into who He plans for us to BEcome.

REflection from Creating Spiritual Community at Work

The final message from the series “Creating Spiritual Community At Work” encourages us to “Be excellent in all you do, listening well, praying quietly, and encouraging others creating the foundation for spiritual community in the workplace.” As I REad this I REminded myself that I may be the only bible some people will ever read, therefore I must BE an example in my daily interactions and focus on Colossians 3:23-24 as I work each day. I must work to BE slow to speak, and even in the workplace pray without ceasing and work to impact others. As followers of Christ, we are a chosen people, and whether in our personal or professional lives, let us work to attract others to Him through our daily walk.
