Daily Devotional for February 8, 2021
“Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.” John 12:24 NIV
As Osteen continues today with a discussion on seeds, there is a difference BEtween being buried and BEing planted. When something is dead it is buried, but like a seed and anything with potential inside, Osteen REminds us, “That dark place is a critical part of the process. Once it germinates and grows, instead of being one little buried seed, it ends up being a beautiful flower, blossoming and bearing much fruit.” As we have to make decisions led by our Father, let us REmember Isaiah 55:8-9; His thoughts are not our thoughts, and His ways are not our ways. A positive perspective allows us to interpret what looks daunting to (wo)man as a part of growth and development for God’s plan. Trust His process for your life.
Philippians 1
In the introduction to Philippians in the New International Version, it states that Paul knew the Philippians were experiencing a lot of opposition, so he appeals his own life of how to respond to hardship with joy. In Philippians he wrote “...being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.... And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight” (Philippians 1:6, 9 NIV). REmember, what God has for you is for Y.O.U. (you only understand). No one has lived your life, walked in your shoes, nor prayed your prayers. Isaiah 58:11 is evidence, “Where God guides, He provides.” Activate your faith and walk boldly with Him in faith and not by sight.
REflections from Dreams Redeemed
Today’s message from “Dreams Redeemed says, “...it might be time to surrender the canvas and trust God to paint a new one”. Many of us have painted a picture of what we BElieve our life should BE like. But many times it is not until we go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) as the message points out, “Only then will we be able to surrender the canvas of our lives to a good God, knowing that He can do exceedingly, abundantly above all we can ask think or imagine!” Is it time to let go and let God have His way in your life?
Hebrews 4:12
All we need can BE found in the Word. It forever flows to quench any thirst and wash away every pain, and it is the ultimate weapon for every battle that we must fight. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
