Fast to unfold your future in the Father
O Lord, who shall sojourn in your tent? Who shall dwell on your holy hill? He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart. Psalm 15:1-2
This morning’s devotional says, “Our thoughts need coaching because most of the time they will derail…. It's important to pause throughout the day and take stock in what we have given our minds to. There is great value in actively controlling your mind. It is critical to speak the truth to our hearts.” We get so involved in the ways of the world and the work we do, sometimes our thoughts BEcome negative even about ourselves BEcause of the burdens and frustration from difficult tasks and people. Take a peaceful pause and REmember Whose above all. He created you and me, therefore greater is He that is in you and me, than (s)he that is in the world.
REflection from Make Space for What Matters by Youversion
Today’s spiritual habit from “Make Space for What Matters” is fasting. It asks the question, “When you think of ‘fasting,’ what comes to mind?”. It then goes on to say, “…intentionally creating space in our lives to hear God by removing things that give us immediate satisfaction.” Yet we should choose to get uncomfortable with the comfortable, starving ourselves to stop what is keeping us from experiencing Christ, making space and preparing for our breakthrough. What will you deny yourself of to see the Father come through for you?
Psalm 16:9
