Daily Devotional for September 17, 2021
“Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.” II Timothy 1:6 NKJV
Let’s not get complacent even as we wait. Osteen encourages us to stir up our hope this morning. We are REminded that there is an enemy who is working to keep us from our destiny, “But here’s the key”, Osteen says, “the forces that are for you are greater than the forces that are against you.” Let us not sit stagnant, but we must BE immovable. Don’t let the idle mind BEcome the devil’s workshop. Keep your thoughts on the fact that our Father can do all things but fail.
James 5
As we wait, James 5:7-8 encourages us, “Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.” Waiting can BEcome frustrating BEcause we have thoughts and timeframes that we would prefer, yet we must trust in the Father with His ways and His timing. But as we wait, “Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another… The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:16 NKJV).
REflection from Strength in God’s Presence
The message today from “Strength in God’s Presence “ says, “We can underestimate and take for granted God’s presence with us. We can so easily forget His power and the peace we are promised when we look to Him, rely upon Him—live our lives trusting in Him.” Let us not underestimate the power of our prayers, for when we call on the Father, He will always come through—no matter the situation nor circumstance. We only have to REmember He is our strength in which we can ALWAYS trust.
Luke 6:36
May we BE meek and merciful not mean when there are opportunities to confront others. In the same way our Father gives grace, let us do the same. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Focus on the fact that favor is upon you this Friday, my friend.
