“And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you.” Romans‬ ‭8:11‬ ‭AMP‬‬

As we prepare for yet another work week, let us REmember that we have REsurrection power within us. What is that, you might ask? Well, Osteen describes it like this: “When you do what you have to do, you’ll discover strength that you didn’t know you had.” Romans 8:11 says, “And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you.” Know that our Father is with you and provides all you need when you need it, to include strength unknown—on Him we can always depend.

2 Samuel 9

As Mephibosheth in 2 Samuel 9, we shall always REmember that we have a place at the table for we are children of the Most High God.

REflection from Promises for Your Everyday Life

I love how God gives us what we need when we need it. This morning’s message from Meyer speaks to forgiveness. She says, “The greatest deception that Satan has perpetuated in the area of forgiveness is the idea that if our feelings have not changed, we have not truly forgiven. When you decide to forgive someone, don't let the devil convince you that because you still have the same feelings, you have not really forgiven the person. You can make the right decision to forgive and not "feel" any differently. That's when faith steps in. You have done your part, now wait on God. He will do His part and heal your emotions, make you whole, and change your feelings toward the person who hurt you.”

Yesterday I had a beautiful time walking along the beach, watching my kids, and REflecting on where I am now in life, how far I have come, and waiting with expectancy of where God will take me. The keyword in all that I have learned is “wait”. In all that we do we must wait, and wait well—not according to our timing or that of others, but for God’s timing, for it is perfect.

As I walked yesterday, I wondered if I had REally forgiven my ex-husband, and I’m so grateful for our Father’s confirmation this morning. Yes, my feelings may still hurt and I may still BE mending from many years of pain, but forgiveness, too, is a process and I’m on my way with Christ.
