The LORD directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way? Proverbs 20:24 NLT
I must be honest, I am very inquisitive and want to know the “why” in life. However, as I have grown closer to the Father, as I mentioned yesterday, I have come to understand that I will understand things better by and by. This morning Osteen highlights the following scripture from Proverbs 20:24 which says, “The LORD directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?” With Him as my guide I know I will BE led where He wants me to go, even if I encounter difficulties. Osteen mentions that trouble is transportation; it moves us into our destiny. Challenges sometimes have to arise for change—to get us uncomfortable with the comfortable to move us to a new level. Trust the shift for success.
Genesis 9
In this life we will experience rain, however, after the downpour there will BE rainbows, serving as a covenant that our Father made saying, “I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth” (Genesis 9:11). No matter the downpours in life, He’ll take us to and through for a brighter and beautiful end.
REflection from Battlefield of the Mind
As a leader, I always say I trust people until they give me a REason not to. When you move into a new situation or environment, we can sometimes BEcome suspicious of others. Meyer says this morning, “While it is wise to be aware of people's motives, we must be careful that we don't allow our suspicious nature to negatively affect our feelings about everyone. An overly suspicious nature can poison your mind and affect your ability to love and accept other people.” May we REmember Matthew 5:24 and 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.
