Daily Devotional for April 22, 2021
I applied my heart to what I observed and learned a lesson from what I saw. Proverbs 24:32
Yesterday I took part in a conversation where I was asked about my life, and as usual I was very candid, authentic, and vulnerable. I spoke a few words from a song by Miki Howard which says, “Experience is a good teacher; it takes someone like me to know...”. I also spoke about how in each situation we should take something away—a blessing or a lesson. This morning’s devotional by Osteen emphasizes the same point. In his message he says, “Before you let go of the negative event, you need to remember the lesson that you learned from the experience. You’re doing yourself a disservice if you go through a painful time and don’t come out with what you were supposed to gain.” Connecting back to yesterday’s devotional, we have choices in every situation. May we choose to learn so that to the pain once experienced we will not again REturn.
Luke 10
Let us stay true to who we are and whose we are and as Christ charges us saying, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself” (Luke 10:27 NRSV).
REflection from 21-Day Plan for Busy Women: A Rich and Satisfying Life
As I REad today’s message from “21-Day Plan for Busy Women: A Rich and Satisfying Life”, I thought about my dear siSTAR. She has said many times, “Stay REady so you don’t have to get REady”. This is exactly the lesson learned through the passage in Matthew about the bridesmaids. We never know the how, the time, nor the place where God will step in to bless us. Don’t block your own blessings.
Psalm 24:1
It’s such a wonderful thing to know that we are covered by Him and are His heirs. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Think on those things of Thee this Thursday, my friend.
