A wise man will hear and increase learning… Proverbs 1:5 NKJV

Pastor Joel Osteen speaks about how sometimes in this life we bring pain upon ourselves when we make poor choices. However, he emphasizes that “God is full of mercy, and He’ll always give us the grace to get through it. But in order not to waste the pain and go through it again, you have to learn the lesson.“ If there is nothing else I have learned on my faith JOurneY it is the fact that we have choices. With every choice there is a consequence and we have to live with it. There is a saying that comes to mind with today’s message; “fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice shame on me.” My version will BE, fool me once grace and mercy, fool me twice that’s on me. Choices—blessings or lessons.

Luke 9

In alignment with the message from Osteen, sometimes in life we encounter situations that we have to choose to walk away from. As much as we may love the fact of something, it is not good for us. Luke 9:23 says, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will save it. What does it profit them if they gain the whole world, but lose or forfeit themselves?” (Luke‬ ‭9:23-25‬ ‭NRSV‬‬). As stated in numerous devotionals, sometimes we have to lose to truly win. Again, it’s all about choices. It’s no longer about our thoughts. Let us choose Christ to lead our lives.

REflection from 21-Day Plan for Busy Women: A Rich and Satisfying Life

Today’s devotional from “21-Day Plan for Busy Women: A Rich and Satisfying Life” speaks about a woman named Priscilla who accompanied her husband, Aquila. What she teaches us is the importance of assisting others by engaging with them to further understand the ways of Christ. As we travel along life’s JOurneY, let us not just seek to study God’s word, but let us share with one another to grow more knowledgeable about His goodness.

Philippians 2:3

It’s not about me, but all about Thee. As with our Father, let us not BE selfish but selfless. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
