Daily Devotional for February 21, 2021

“Now the man Moses was very humble, more so than anyone else on the face of the earth.” (Numbers‬ ‭12:3‬ ‭NRSV‬‬)

There is a saying that experience is the best teacher, and like Moses, When I turned 40, I truly entered a new season with Christ. When I REflect now I see it was a night season in which I had to experience. As Osteen speaks to today about Moses, I too, had to learn to wait on God, to listen to His voice, to walk in humility. I know He used forty years of my life and took me into my night season to prepare me for what us to come. I wait in expectancy for what eyes haven’t seen nor ears heard.

Titus 2

May we work to support and encourage our brothers and sisters in faith to “...be temperate, serious, prudent, and sound in faith, in love, and in endurance...to be reverent in behavior, not to be slanderers or slaves to drink;...to be self-controlled...so that the word of God may not be discredited.” (Titus‬ ‭2:2-3, 5‬ ‭NRSV‬‬)

REflection from Winning the War in Your Mind

As we strive to BE more like Christ, the message from “Winning the War in Your Mind” REminds us that we cannot just focus on our BEhaviors to change; we must focus on the root of the problems. “The neural pathway that leads to the behavior is the problem”, and by focusing on the root, we must seek God’s word to help us to change our mindset and perspective to REset our our thoughts and actions. Let us literally stay rooted and grounded in His word as we go about each day.

Matthew 5:6

We cannot live by bread alone, which is a secondary food. We must feed off of primary foods, working to do what is right and just to BE filled and blessed by the Father. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Let us savor the soul food served by the Savior in the scripture this Sunday, my friend.
